GeeksIRC vs WyldRyde (I use GeeksIRC now)

For several months, I was using WyldRyde as my IRC server of choice. It worked out well for a while, then i began to have some issues.

1. In my opinion, the spamfilter is far too strict. As many of you know, I do a show on Geeks Radio. But, in any IRC channel on WyldRyde typing “Geeks Radio” in the chat is considered spam and may get you removed from the network.

2. There are far too many people banned from the network. I have recieved several emails from people who wanted to join chat, but could not becuase of a network ban.

3. Even with all that, I had chosen to stay. But, once one of the regulars in chat who goes by the handle “Gabe” got banned, i knew it was time for a change.

GeeksIRC was reccomended to me by several people including the owner, Ryan Courtade of Geeks Radio and GeeksIRC

I am very satisfied with the new network and proud to call it the offical home of the Dylan Combs IRC chat.
